Welcome to Vietnam! On arrival at the airport, you will be picking up and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, take a rickshaw ride rambling through the maze of Hanoi’s old quarter. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant with authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Overnight in Hanoi. Temple of Literature
After breakfast at hotel, enjoy a guided tour to the Temple of Literature which referred as the first National University in Vietnam, Hochiminh’s Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, Hochiminh’s House on Stilts and One Pillar Pagoda. Next is Vietnam National Museum of Ethnology, the largest and most interesting Museum in Vietnam.
The afternoon cooking demonstration at a local restaurant allows you to discover Vietnamese culinary, cooking techniques and spices. In the evening transfer to Hanoi Train Station for the overnight train to Laocai. Overnight on the train
Upon arrival in Laocai Train Station, you will be transfer up to Sapa on a scenic Pass. Enjoy a morning walk to Sapa Market for learning about the mountainous herbs and ingredients then continue to Cat Cat village, the home of Black H’mong tribe. In the afternoon, take a tour to Ta Van and Laochai villages which are inhabited by the Dzay and Black H’mong minorities. Overnight in Sapa
Today, enjoy your breakfast at hotel and leave Sapa for Bacha where a lot of different tribe’s people in their beautiful outfits are gathered for the Sunday Market. Stroll around this colorful market for some Kodak moments and return to Lao Cai station for the overnight train to Hanoi. On the way, visit King Mong Palace and pause at the border gate between Vietnam and China to see traders exchange their wares. The balance of the day is free at leisure before embarking the train. Arrive in Hanoi early this morning, after breakfast in a local restaurant enjoys a drive to Halong city though rural areas with scenic views of rice paddy fields and local people at work. Arrive in Halong at mid day, journey through the spectacular limestone islands and floating villages whilst having a delicious seafood lunch, then disembark to visit ‘Sung Sot’ or “Surprising Cave” which is one of the most imposing grottos of the bay. Sail on to the next stop of Titop Island where you can swim and climb up to the top of the island for panoramic views.Sea kayaking is an optional activity before the sunset. Tonight, you will be delighted by a candle light seafood dinner on board. Then retire on board in your private berth anchored amongst the islands in Halong Bay. Overnight on board in Halong bay
A breakfast will be served with the combination of western style and local cuisine. Experience the Bay up close and personal with a leisurely sampan tour to “Hang Luon” or “Lagoon Cave” allowing you to see flora and fauna of the bay, continue to Halong City. Today, you will have free time for your own activities in Hanoi until the pickup time for the airport transfer for your onward flight.
